Cleveland Park is a D.C. neighborhood with a different feel than we are used to –think open spaces, large family homes, and beautiful historic houses. The neighborhood has easy access to its own parks, shops, and restaurants while still being close to the city and all that it has to offer. Cleveland Park draws people in, and they never seem to leave. The neighborhood is full of long time residents, which is part of the attraction. You will hardly need to leave the area, as it has most things you will need on a day-to-day basis. All in all, we can’t seem to get enough of Cleveland Park’s peaceful and welcoming neighborhood vibes.

Adams Morgan Lifestyle | Living In DC

Neighborhood Lifestyle

Cleveland Park is a close-knit neighborhood. A lot of the residents moved here and never left, and most newcomers also plan on never leaving. The community is extremely close and has a neighborhood association that is always looking out for its residents, and for ways to better the neighborhood. There is a large population of older folks in Cleveland Park, and we know why – people move here knowing everything they need is here, and raising a family and growing old here is both convenient and comfortable. Living in Cleveland Park, you will develop close-knit ties to both the people and the neighborhood, and that is not something you find everywhere.

What You Won't Find In Adams Morgan DC

What You Won’t Find

If you are looking for the normal hustle and bustle of a D.C. neighborhood, Cleveland Park is not where you will find that. This is one of the more low-key neighborhoods, as it’s residential areas tend to be on the quieter side, and the neighborhood itself is fairly spread out. While it still has both Wisconsin Avenue and Connecticut Avenue to bring that busy commercial feel, the majority of the neighborhood tends to have more of a small town feel.

Living In Adams Morgan | DC Apartments Adams Morgan

Living In Cleveland Park

Like Cleveland Park’s neighborhood feel, the apartment living options are quite different than the rest of the D.C. area. A common theme throughout the neighborhood is large, historic Queen Anne homes. Many of the apartments and condos are on the older side as well. Unlike the rest of D.C., you won’t find as many newly constructed, upscale apartment buildings. The market is quite expensive, as most of the homes are historic and the neighborhood itself is extremely desirable. While it is expensive, the homes are beautiful, and the neighborhood is worth the price.
