Momofuku’s Milk Bar is home to the ultimate soft serve – cereal milk soft serve, made with milk, cornflakes, brown sugar, and salt. With the delicious taste of milk at the bottom of a cereal bowl, this soft serve is our absolute favorite. Milk Bar also serves ‘cake truffles’, which are bite size cake balls that are almost too good to eat. Essentially every dessert at Milk Bar is worth posting on Instagram, but the cake truffles and cereal milk soft serve really take the cake.

The Salt Line, a relative new-comer to the DC dining scene, has already earned a ton of attention for both their delicious, beautiful food and drinks and the New England-themed, totally photo-worthy restaurant interior. One of the most photographed menu items thus far is the Fluffernutter milkshake. This decadent, over-the-top dessert comes topped with a cake doughnut, marshmallow, peanuts, and saltwater taffy. Macarons have been on trend in the dessert and food photography worlds for some time now, but all (ok, a lot of) DC rejoiced when famed confectioner Ladurée opened not one but TWO shops here in 2017. Macarons are the main draw, but there is so much to love (and photograph) here. From the shop’s interior to the packaging and everything in between, you can go ahead and warn your friends that you’re about to take over their Insta feed.
